DIY Christmas Sugar Scrubs


Sugar scrubs make a really great, cute Christmas gift. They’re usually really easy to make and you can put them in festive jars for gifting. Sugar scrubs are great for this time of year because they exfoliate your skin and leave it nice and moisturized. And who doesn’t need that during these dry winter months?! Add on top of that, they’re Christmas scented…so you’re sure to have a winning gift! If you don’t want to give these scrubs away, just keep them for yourself cause who doesn’t need a little pampering this time of year!

Candy Cane Sugar Scrub




  1. Take two separate bowls and fill each bowl with one cup of sugar.
  2. Add half the almond oil to the first bowl and then the other half to the second bowl.
  3. Stir together the oil and sugar in each bowl.
  4. Take one bowl and set it aside.
  5. Take the other bowl and add two drops of red food coloring and mix it together.
  6. Add 8-10 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil to the pink sugar and mix it well.
  7. Take a clean container and add a layer of pink sugar using a large paper funnel.
  8. Follow with a layer of white sugar.
  9. Continue layering until the jar is full.


Gingerbread Sugar Scrub

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • ¼ cup almond oil
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon allspice
  • ½ teaspoon ginger
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Mason Jar with Lid


  1. In a medium-sized bowl combine all ingredients except oils.
  2. Gradually add coconut & almond oil until scrub reaches desired consistency.
  3. Scoop scrub into mason jar.


Mint Sugar Scrub



  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • 1½ – 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon peppermint extract
  • 1 drop green food coloring
  • Mason Jar with Lid


  1. Place coconut oil in a bowl and microwave on high for 15-25 seconds until softened.
  2. Start by adding 1½ cups sugar to the oil, along with the peppermint extract and green food coloring. Mix until ingredients are well combined and food coloring is evenly distributed. If mixture is too wet, add another ½ cup sugar.
  3. Spoon scrub into a mason jar.


Apple Cinnamon Sugar Scrub

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Apple Pie Spice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 – 3/4 cup of coconut oil
  • Mason Jar with Lid


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients.
  2. Mix it to your own personal taste.
  3. Pour into a mason jar
