Best Drugstore Foundations for Dry Skin

To be honest, I’ll take a good dewy, inexpensive, long-lasting drugstore foundation over high end foundation any day of the week. There are so many great drugstore foundations out there, so I wanted to dedicate a blog post to them.  I feel like my skin changes color a lot (aka getting tan and losing that tan) so I have to buy like 4 different shades of foundation every year. Since I can’t really justify buying 4 different bottles of high end foundation a year…I buy 4 different bottles of $10 drugstore foundation. As you can tell from the title, these foundations I’m going to be talking about are all for dry skin. My skin (bless it’s heart) is always extremely dry and sometimes dull looking. So the foundations I use are dewy and geared toward dry skin. Dew (I’m sorry, I just had to use this pun) you want to know what the best drugstore foundations are?! Then just keep reading!

Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation

First up on the list is my all time favorite…the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth Foundation. I have been using this for YEARS. I think ever since I started wearing makeup. It’s usually $6-$7 and a bottle lasts me for months. I will put this on early in the morning and it will stay on for at least 8 hours. (which is good enough for me!) This foundation is light to medium coverage so if you like a more full coverage foundation, you might not love this one. It immediately leaves my skin looking dewy and more alive (thank gosh). A lot of foundations that are meant for dry skin still break apart on my face…this one doesn’t. The only negative to this one is that it doesn’t come with a pump. But overall an amazing foundation for an amazing price!

L’Oreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Foundation

The lumi foundation is another classic one that I have also been using for years. This one is more medium coverage and lasts about the same length as the Maybelline one. I do get a better shade match with this one, compared to the Maybelline one. But like Fit Me, this L’Oreal one is very dewy and fresh-faced looking. A bottle costs about $10-$12 but it does come with a pump so yay!! The only negative is that it seems to cling to some spots around my nose. But I can look past that because it makes every other part of my face look dewy and flawless.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint

This Neutrogena Hydro Boost foundation is not one that I’ve used for as long as the other two foundations…but I still love it. It’s definitely not medium or full coverage…it gives you very light natural looking coverage (which is how I usually want my foundation to look for every day). I will say, I haven’t noticed it plumping my skin, but it does definitely boost my skins hydration and gives me a very luminous finish. This one is $11-$12 depending on where you buy it. If you like wearing a BB cream or a tinted moisturizer, you will LOVE this foundation.

Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation

Another Maybelline foundation! This foundation is pretty different from the Fit Me one. It is more light coverage and isn’t as dewy. It’s basically “your skin but better”. So again, it isn’t as luminous as the other 3 foundations but it does have a nice satin finish. It has light buildable coverage and lasts a fairly long time (considering that it’s light coverage). This one is $9-$10 and has a pump! It’s a great foundation for anyone just starting out with makeup…easy to apply, lightweight, and buildable.

And there’s the run down! The best drugstore foundations for dry skin! I only put 4 in here because honestly I don’t LOVE any others. I didn’t want to add ones that I sort of liked just to make the list longer. Us dry skin girls have to stick together and help each other out so hopefully you guys found this post helpful!!
